Ara : About half a dozen armed miscreants shot at and injured Monu Yadav, 22, near Banahi railway station under Shahpur police station in Bhojpur district on August 16, 2018, and escaped firing in the air. Police admitted the injured youth to the Sadar Hospital, Ara, where his condition is stated to be serious.
A named FIR has been lodged with Shahpur police station but no arrest has so far been made in this connection. Old enmity is said to be the cause behind the incident.
SHO, Shahpur police station, Shambhu Bhagat said that Monu Yadav, son of Bajrangi Yadav, was going to Danapur in Patna district along with his uncle to appear at an examination. At Banahi railway station, about half a dozen armed miscreants caught and thrashed his uncle. Seeing this, Monu Yadav came to rescue of his uncle but the miscreants thrashed him too and later shot at him injuring him seriously.
