Patna : World No 55 Rabin Haase, 31, Netherlands, stunned World No 4 Alexander Zverev, 21, Germany, in the second round in a massive upset at Cincinnati Masters 1,000 at Mason near Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, on August 15, 2018.

Hasse beat Alexander Zverev in a three-set thriller 5-7, 6-4, 7-5 to enter the third round of the tournament. Both the players served 7 Aces each in the match. Haase though won 6 break points to 5 by Zverev, who had also made an early exit in the recently concluded Rogers Cup in Canada. Zverev committed 4 double faults to 3 by Haase. Both the players won 4 games each in a row in the match.

World No 6 in ATP rankings Kevin Anderson, 32, South Africa, World No 10 Novak Djokovoc, 31, Serbia, World No 11 David Goffin, 27, Belgium, and World No 13 Pablo Carreno Busta, 27, Spain, have entered the third round.

Anderson beat World No 46 Jeremy Chardy, 31, France, 7-6, 6-2 in the second round while Djokovic beat World No 28 Adrian Mannarino, 30, France, in a three-set encounter 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 to enter the third round. Djokovic won 5 break points to 2 by Mannarino.

Goffin defeated World No 57 Benoit Paire, 29, France, 5-7, 6-4, 6-2 to enter the third round. Paire fired 17 Aces in the match to 5 by Goffin. But Goffin won 5 break points to 3 by Paire. Paire committed 6 double faults to 4 by Goffin.

Busta beat Bradley Klahn, 27, USA, 6-4, 6-4 in the second round. Klahn fired 5 Aces in the match to none by Busta. But, klahn also committed 3 double faults to 1 by Busta, who won 2 break points. Milos Raonic beat Malek Jaziri, 34, Tunisia, 6-3, 7-5 to enter the third round. Raonic hammered 20 Aces in the match to just 3 by Jaziri. Raonic, however, also committed 7 double faults to 4 by Jaziri.

World No 7 Marin Cilic, 29, Croatia, and World No 32 Denis Shapovalov, 19, Canada, have also entered the third round.
