Patna : The three- day police remand of Chirantan Kumar and Manisha Dayal, Secretary and Treasurer, respectively of Anumaya Human Resources Foundation,an NGO, ended on August 16, 2018. They are being sent back to jail now.
The SIT investigating into the mysterious death of 2 female inmates of Vishesh Aasra Grih, a shelter home being run by the NGO for mentally challenged women, thoroughly quizzed them about the circumstances leading to the death Poonam Bharti, 18 and Babli alias Notpa, 40, on August 10, 2018 night. They were arrested in the wee hours on August 13, 2018.
The SIT is, however, yet to arrest the remaining 3 accused in the case including an MBBS doctor and an ANM.
