Ara : Some unidentified armed miscreants killed a youth with a sharpedged weapon and threw the body near a temple at village Mahraja in Bharauli Panchayat under Shahpur police station in Bhojpur District from where police recovered the body on March 12 and brought it over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.

The deceased was identified as Sonu Singh, 24, son of Vikram Singh of Mahraja village under Shahpur police station. An FIR has been lodged with Shahpur police station in this connection and police are investigating into the incident. Love affair is said to be the cause behind the murder.

SDPO Shyam Ranjan Kishore said that some unidentified miscreants killed Sonu Singh, son of a retired armyman Vikram Singh of Mahraja village under Shahpur police station, on March 11, 2020, night,  and escaped. Police recovered the body on March 12 . He stated that sniffer dog has been pressed into service to arrest the miscreants. He said that Sonu Singh was preparing for competitive examinations at Patna and had come to his native village on March 9, 2020, to celebrate Holi.

The SDPO further said that police recovered a letter from Sonu’s pocket written in blood and added that police are also investigating the matter from this angle.
