Saharsa : Ranjit Mandal, son of Chandradev Mandal of village Raghunathpur, got married to daughter of Virchandra Mandal of village Baithmushhari under Basnahi police station in Saharsa district on January 28, 2017, after sustaining bullet injury in his leg at the marriage venue.
Ranjit received sustained bullet injury in his leg when the bride’s side allegedly fired in the air from illegal firearms to welcome Baratis. Ranjit was treated at the clinic of a private doctor at Mahua Bazaar and the marriage was solemnised with blood oozing out of the wound althrough. After marriage, Ranjit was admitted to a nursing home. SHO, Basnahi police station Manish Kumar Rajak said he had received information about the incident and take appropriate action after receiving a formal complaint in this regard.
