Youth drowns to death in river Ganga in Bhojpur

Ara : A youth Jitendra alias Saral Sah, son of Satyanarayan Sah, drowned to death in river Ganga at Keshopur under Barhara police station in Bhojpur district on July 16, 2019, while taking a dip in the river on the occasion of Guru Purnima.

Police fished out the body and brought it over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. SHO, Barhara police station, Prashant Kumar, said that hundreds of women, men and children had assembled at the Ganga ghat at Keshopur since July 16 morning  to take a dip in river Ganga. Jitendra while taking bath in the river was swept away by the fast current of the river and met his watery grave.
