Youth arrested for rape bid

Ara : Bhojpur on July 8, 2017, police arrested a youth Amit Kumar of village Haradiya under Jagdishpur police station for attempting to outrage the modesty of a teenage girl. The arrested youth was forwarded him to jail.

SHO, Jagdishpur police station, said that Amit Kumar of village Haradiya under Jagdishpur police station entered the house of a teenage girl when she was all alone and tried to outrage her modesty. When she raised an alarm, Amit thrashed her. Hearing the cry of the girl, the villagers rushed to her rescue but by that Amit had escaped from the scene. A named FIR was lodged with Jagdishpur police station on the statement of the girl’s mother and police also arrested the youth immediately.
