Teenage boy drowns in river Gangi

Ara : Mohan Pandey, 16, son of Nanda Pandey of Bhaluhipur under Town Police Station, Ara, drowned in river Gangi at Ara in the morning on July 9, 2017. The body had not been fished out till the time of reporting.

SHO, Town Police Station, J P Singh said that Mohan Pandey had gone at the bank of river Gangi to attend call of nature on July 9 morning on Sunday but he slipped and was swept away in the fast current of the river. The locals tried to rescue him but he drowned in the river. The SHO said that a team of NDRF has been requisitioned.
