Patna : Women’s Political Forum on March 6, 2017, strongly pleaded for equal participation of women in governance at an Interactive Research Seminar at BIA Hall, Patna. Women’s Political Forum, in association with Bihar Industries Association  (BIA), expressed its views over the issue of “Gender Parity in Politics – Walk of Women so far”  to mark the International Women’s Day, 2017.

The Forum believes that politics and political governance means managing a state as well as the country. Just like a family is run by a mother and a father, playing equally significant role to see its prosperity and happiness, a country consisting of males and females, needs to be governed by equal gender participation, it said. It is not about caste or creed, male or female, young or old, it is about healthy, progressive and diplomatic philosophical think tank, good enough to lead, the Forum said.

The was attended by Bihar Council of Women, Rotary Inner Wheel, and representatives from political parties like  Sushma Sahu, BJP, Bharti Mehta from JD (U),  Neelam Sinha from LJP,  Vinita Jha,  Congress, Kiran Ghai Sinha from BJP, Anita Sinha, Bal Shram Ayog, Reshma (Transgender),  Kiran Ranjan from JD(U), Professor Kalyani Singh,  Kalyani Singh, JD(U), and Kumari Anita, Mahila Congress.
