Woman stragulated to death at Buxar village

Buxar : A married woman Puja Kumari was strangulated to death while sleeping at village Dihari under Rajpur police station in Buxar district on May 11, 2018, night. Her husband was at his work placeoutside Bihar.

Police recovered the body on May 12 morning and brought it over to Buxar Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. A named FIR has been lodged with Rajpur police station against brothers-in-law (devar) of the deceased:  Sonu Chaudhary, Monu Chaudhary and Chandan Chaudhary and also sister-in-law (devrani) on the statement of deceased’s father Prabhu Chaudhary. Family dispute is said to the cause behind the incident. Police arrested the main accused Sonu Chaudhary and sent him to jail.

SHO, Rajpur police station Dharmendra Kumar, quoting the FIR, said that Prabhu Chaudhary of Narahi village in Balia district, UP, had married his daughter Puja Kumari, 26, to Sunil Chaudhary of Dihari village under Rajpur police station six year ago. Sunil Chaudhary works in a private firm outside Bihar. Puja Kumari had no issue. The SHO said that the reason behind the murder would be known after the post-mortem report is received.
