Giridih: A Giridih court on Tuesday sentenced to life imprisonment a 42 year old woman for killing her 4 year old nephew two year ago. Apart from murder, the court of district and session judge – 2, AK Gupta, convicted the woman for kidnapping the boy and hiding evidence.
“The woman has been convicted for murdering, abducting and causing disappearance of evidence under sections 302, 364 and 201 of Indian Penal Code respectively,” said Bipin Kumar Yadav, a District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) alwyer, adding that the convict was all set to move the higher court to challenge the Giridih court order. An FIR was registered with Jamua police station on the basis of the statement given by the deceased’s father, Md Allauddin, in this connection on June 6, 2014.
“We had a series of arguments over a land dispute for the past two years. Meanwhile, she threatened us with dire consequences if we did not allot her the disputed plot. But because, it was our plot personal, we rejected her demand. However, she took the benefits of our absence and strangulated my son to death. Consequently, she kept the dead body inside her house after packing it into a plastic bag,” the deceased’s father said in the FIR.
