Woman lodges FIR against four persons

Ara : Jyotsna Kuer, wife of late Ramjag Rai of village Sarfora under Tarari police station in Bhojpur lodged a named FIR with Tarai police station on May 10, 2018, evening, against four persons : Kaushal Rai, Sushuma Devi, Heeramuni Devi, and Uday Rai, for thrashing her and also forcing her to drink excreta allegedly for allegedly practicing witchcraft.

SHO, Tarari police station, said that Jyotsna Kuer lives with her daughter at village Sarfora.  Two days ago her neighbour Prem Kumar, son of Kaushal Rai, fell ill. Kaushal Rai and his family members held Jyotsna Kuer responsible for it alleging practices witchcraft. Jyotsna Kuer said that her neighbour entered her house and thrashed her and looted property and when she protested, they forced her to drink excreta, the SHO said quoting the FIR.

On the other hand, the named accused refuted all the charges and said that she had implicated them in false case to settle old enmity. SHO, Tarari police station, said that the police were investigating into the matter and the guilty would be arrested soon.
