Bettiah : A woman Rabri Devi, wife of Jaipal Mahto, was killed in a land dispute at village Vishwas under Sirsa Police Outpost under Bettiah Sub_division in West Champaran district on October 19, 2018, evening. She was beaten to death by the rival group allegedly led by Rameshwar Mahto of the village. About a dozen villagers sustained injuries in the incident.
Bhuwan Mahto, son of the deceased, said that the rival group led by Rameshwar Mahto were trying to grab his land and a fierce clash his mother died on spot and around a dozen villagers were injured. A Sirsia Police Outpost team reached the village took the body to MJK Hospital, Bettiah, for autopsy on October 20, 2018.
