Woman killed by in-laws’ for bike at Bhojpur village

Ara : Bimal Kumari, daughter of Moti Lal Ram of Mahatin Tola under Ayar police station was allegedly killed on May 29, 2019, only for a motorcycle at her in-laws’ place at village Tar under Piro police station in Bhojpur district. Later, the in-laws disposed of the body in haste to erase evidence.

A named FIR has been lodged by Piro police station against six persons including Bimal Kumari’s husband, father-in-law, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and brother-in-law on the statement of her father on May 30, 2019. Police are investigating into the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the named accused.

SHO, Piro Police station, quoting the FIR, said that Bimal Kumari was married to Raj Kishore Ram, son of Dilip Ram of Tar village under Piro police station in 2013 and was ever since being tortured by her in-laws tortured for motorcycle and when their demand was not fulfilled, they allegedly killed her and disposed of the body in haste to erase evidence.The SHO said that on May 29, 2019, Bimal Kumari’s  in-laws informed him that she had some paid in abdomen but when he went there, they said that she died and so they performed her last rites.
