Bagaha : Simirikhia Devi, 25, daughter of Harendra Chaudhary of Gandhinagar locality under Ward No.18 of Bagaha Nagar Parishad in West Champaran dsitrict, was allegedly killed by her in- laws on July 31, 2018, night. An FIR was lodged by her mother Devanti Devi with Bagaha Town Police Station on August 1 in this connection .
Devanti Devi, in her FIR, said that her two daughters had been married to two brothers Dinesh Chaudhary and Ashok Chaudhary, sons of late Yogendra Chaudhary of village Sirsia under Naurangia police station of the district. But, her daughters were living with their parents for past few months and a case was pending in Bagaha court regarding atrocities on them.
Devanti alleged that her two sons- in- laws : Dinesh Chaudhary and Ashok Chaudhary, suddenly barged into her house on July 31 night and stabbed to death her elder daughter Simirikhia Devi, who was pregnant, and fled away. She immediately rushed Simirikhia to Sub – Divisional Hospital, Bagaha, where doctors declared her brought dead.
SHO, Bagaha town police station, Mohammad Ayub Khan said that an FIR has been lodged with the police station by Devanti Devi making her two sons-in-law: Dinesh chaudhary and Ashok Chaudhary, named accused in the case. Simrikhia’s husband Dinesh Chaudhary has been arrested and police are searching for Ashok Chaudhary, the SHO said.
