Buxar : Sapna Kumar was allegedly killed by her husband Rahul Choubey and three others by slitting her throat at village Bhakhvalakh under Koransaraai police station in Buxar district recently. Police recovered the body from a field on July 17, 2017, and brought it to Buxar Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Sapna had been missing for the last four days.
A named FIR has been lodged with Koransarai police station against four persons including Rahul Choubey on the statement of the deceased’s father Ashok Pandey of village Arop under Itadhi police station in Buxar district. Police arrested father-in-law of the deceased Prayag Choubey and forwarded him to jail.
SHO, Koransarai police station, Nandan Singh said that Sapana Kumari, daughter of Ashok Pandey of Arop village, was married to Rahul Choubey, son of Prayag Choubey of Bhkhvalakh village under Koransarai police station on June 25, 2013, and she had a daughter. After the birth of the girl, her in-laws started torturing her and demanding more dowry. When her father got information that Sapna was missing, he searched for her and also contacted her in-laws but to no avail after which he informed police about it. Police recovered her body from a field after four days.
