Ara : A named FIR was lodged with Nawada Police Station, Ara, on July 17, 2017, on the statement of SHO, Nawada Police Station, Neyaz Ahmad, against 22 persons including influential persons such as Chairman, Church of India, Aligarh, UP, wife of the then Registrar, Ara, Amarnath Singh, owner of a hotel and a businessman in connection with alleged sale and purchase of central  government land (Kaiser-i-Hind) adjacent to the Methodist Church, Ara, by preparing fake documents.

The action was taken after thorough investigation following direction of Bihar CM Nitish Kumar during his ‘Saath Nischay Yaatra’ at Ara on January 30, 2017.  Ara MLA Anwar Alam and others had raised the issue before the CM. Sources said that 170 decimal of land was sold at about Rs 14 crore in 2013. Even the Zonal IG, Patna, Nayyar Hasnain Khan had ordered filing of an FIR against the land mafias after thorough investigation.

The FIR was lodged against the Chairman, Church Of India, Aligarh,UP, Mister Rev Johsar T, Namrata Singh, wife of the then Registrar, Ara, Amarnath Singh of Babu Bazaar, Manju Singh, wife of Laloo Singh of village Haradiya under Jagdishpur block, Anku Singh and Anshu Kumar, sons of Amarnath Singh of Babu Bazaar, Laloo Singh of Haradiya, Adarsh Kumar and Birendra Prasad Singh, sons of Laloo Singh of Haradiya, Janardan Singh, owner of a hotel at Hari Ji Ka Hata, Janardan Singh, Meena Singh, wife of Janardan Singh, Ajay Kumar Singh of Maruti Nagar, Amarnath Singh, son of Awadhesh Singh of Karisath,  contractor Bhujendra Kumar Singh of Maruti Nagar, his wife  Bhawana Singh, Ashok Kumar Singh of Rampur in Barhara, his wife Poonam Devi, Raj Kumar Singh, son of Jai Narayan Singh of Sakaddi, and Manish Kumar Singh. Three witnesses: Amit Kumar Pandey of Surangapur in Sanedsh, Ajit Kumar of Majhaua under Town Police Station and Alfred Androam of Methodist Hospital, Pratapsagar, Buxar, have also been made named accused.

Chairman, Church of India, Aligarh, UP Rev Johnsar T. John had no right to give power of attorney to anyone but he gave power of Attorney to Namrata Singh, wife of Amarnath Singh, the then Registrar, Ara,  and resident of Babu Bazzar under Town Police Station and Manju Singh, wife of Laloo Singh of Haradiya village, who sold out 170 decimal of land to 15 persons mostly their family members and relatives by preparing 16 deeds. It was also revealed that papers of 13 registries were prepared on a single day in 2013.

SDPO, Ara, Sanjay Kumar said that on the direction of the Police Headquarters, he sent a 210 page documents and investigation report to the SHO, Nawada police station, Neyaz Ahmad. He said that  Inspector, Chandrashekhar Gupta of Koelwar Circle, has been made the Investigating Officer of the case.  The SDPO further said that all the named accused in the case will soon be arrested.

It may be mentioned here that a businessman Krishna Kumar Singh alias  Kumar Ji was shot dead on July 2, 2017, in Padav locality near Model Institute under Town Police Station, Ara. The businessman was killed for grabbing his land in Bhaluhipur locality under Town police station.
