Bagaha : A woman killed her lover when he refused to register his landed property in her name. SHO, Dhanaha police station under Bagaha Sub-Division in West Champaran district , Rajesh Kumar, said that Ramashankar Kushwaha, a widower,  of village Tunihawa in Kathar panchayat under the same police station was allegedly in a relationship with a  woman of neighbouring village Gita Sharma whose husband Ramesh Sharma works at a distant town and she was living alone at her house.

The woman always pressurised Ramashankar to register his landed perporty in her name. When he refused to do so, she allegedly served poison mixed food to Ramashankar Kushwaha, who died at Medical Collage Hospital, Gorakhpur in UP, on November 12, 2017. The deceased’s father Dudhnath Kushwaha had lodged a case with Dhanaha police station in this connection and Gita Sharma was arrested on November 12 and being interrogated, the SHO said.
