Bagaha, SDM, seizes two trucks carrying sand

Bagaha : SDM, Bagaha, Ghanshyam Meena, with his subordinates seized two overloaded trucks bearing Uttar Pradesh registration numbers carrying sand under Dhanaha police station area in West Champaran district on November 10, 2017, night, during an inspection. The seized trucks were handed over to Dhanaha police station for necessary action. The SDM informed that one of the truck drivers managed to escape taking advantage of darkness.

Meanwhile, some residents of Parsauni under Piparasi panchayat led by Suresh Rai met the SDM on November 11 and urged him to check illegal sand excavation from Piparasi Gandak riverine area where it was rampant. The SDM assured them to look into the matter at the earliest.
