Patna : West Indies (WI) scored a challenging 315/5 in 50 overs in 3rd ODI against India at Barabadi Stadium, Cuttack, Odisha, on December 22, 2019, with captain Kieron Pollard scoring an unbeaten 74 in 51 balls hitting 3 fours and 7 sixes and Nicholas Pooran scoring 89 in 64 balls with 10 fours and 3 sixes. WI, who scored only 94 runs in first 25 overs, added 221 runs in the last 25 overs as Pollard and Pooran hanged the complexion of the game. Pooran and Pollard added 135 runs for the 5th wicket. Pollard was hitting sixes at will in the last few overs. Opener Shai Hope and Evin Lewis added 57 runs for the first wicket. Lewis fell to Ravindra Jadeja for 21 while Hope fell to Mohammad Shami for 42. Shimron Hetmyer and Roston Chase added 62 runs for the third wicket. Hetmyer fell to Saini for 37 in 33 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes. Chase also fell to Saini for 38 in 48 balls with 3 fours.  Pooran fell to Shardul Thakur.
