Patna : Following on, West Indies were 144/5 after 34 overs in their second innings in the first cricket test against India at Saurahstra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot, Gujarat, after lunch on day 3 on October 6, 2018, with Kieren Powell  batting on 78 with 7 fours and 4 sixes and wicketkeeper Shane Dowrich on 2. Chinaman Kuldeep Yadav has taken 4/34 and Ravichandran Ashwin 1/61. West Indies trail by 324 runs.

Earlier, replying to India’s first innings total of 649/9 declared, West Indies were all out for 181 in 48 overs in their first innings  with Roston Chase scoring 53 and Keemu Paul 47. Ravichandran Ashwin took 4/37 and Mohammad Shami 2/22.
