West Champaran DM reviews arrangements for chhath, Deepawali in Bagaha

Bagaha:  West Champaran DM Lokesh Kumar Singh on Friday held a meeting here with Bagaha SP Shankar Jha, SDM, Bagaha, Dharmendar Kumar, besides all SHOs, Block Development Officers (BDOs), Circle Officers (COs) and Bagaha Nagar Parishad  Executive Officer to review arrangements being made for Deepawali and Chhath festivals.

The DM said that police should ensure that no untoward incident takes place during the two festivals. All chhath ghats should be cleaned,the DM said.  He directed the police officials to maintain law and order and keep a close watch on at Chhath ghats. No devotee should be allowed to go deep into the rivers and there should be barricading at every ghat. Mangalpur, Narainapur, Shastrinagar, Anand Nagar, Parasnagar and  Deendayal Nagar Chhath ghats of Nagar Parishad are safer for devotees but some other ghats including Poor house, Ratanmala, Goriapatti and Gola ghats need to be made safe. The DM asked the puja committees to complete light arrangement at every ghat.
