Patna : Water has been drained out of the Operation Theater, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and different wards at 875 bed Nalanda Medical College and Hospital (NMCH), Patna. Giving this information on July 30, 2018, Principal Secretary, Health Department, Sanjay Kumar, claimed the water was drained out within 24 hours. He said that NMCH has a 150 HP pump which was used to remove the water logged in different wards and ICU of the hospital.

Principal Secretary, Health Department, Kumar stated that the volume of water entering into the NMCH campus was much more than its outlet capacity. He also said that the NMCH is located in a low lying area and all the water of the area was accumulating on its campusWate creating such situation.
