Patna : World No 22 and 8th seed Wang-Tzu Wei, 24, Chinese Taipei, beat World No 36 Sourabh Verma, 26, India, in straight games in final to lift the men’s singles title at Ecogreen Syed Modi International  Badminton Championships, an HSBC BWF World Tour Super 300 event, at Lucknow, UP, India, on December 1, 2019.

Wang beat Sourabh  21-15, 21-17 in 48 minutes in the final at Babu Banarasi Das Indoor Stadium, Lucknow, to clinch the singles title. Wang won 42 rallies in the match to 32 by Sourabh. Both the players won 5 consecutive points each in the match. Wang now leads Sourabh 2-1 Head to Head.

Wang secured 7,000 BWF rankings points plus the prize money for winning the title while Sourabh secured 5,950 points besides the prize money.
