Patna : Pakistan were reduced to 39/3 after 16.5 overs at stumps on Day 3 in their second innings in 2nd test against Australia at Adelaide Oval, Adelaide, Australia, on December 1, 2019, still trailing by 248 runs staring at another demoralising defeat. Josh Hazlewood has taken 2/15 in 8 overs while Mitchell Starc, who had taken 6/66 in Pakistan’s first innings, has taken 1/10 in 4 overs in second innings.

Opener Shan Masood was unbeaten on 14 while Asad Shafiq was 8 not out at stumps on Day 3 after Australia enforced follow on. Opener Imam-ul-Haq fell to Hazlewood for a duck while captain Azhar Ali fell to Starc for 9. Babar Azam fell to Hazlewood for 8 making it 20/3.

Pakistan were all out for 302 in their first innings the same day with Yasir Shah scoring 113, his first test century and Babar Azam scoring 97.

Opting to bat after winning the toss, Australia had declared their first innings at 589/3 in 127 overs on Day 2 with opener David Warner scoring an unbeaten 335, his first triple ton in tests, and Marnus Labuschagne scoring 162.
