Bagaha : West Champaran district Magistrate Nelesh Ramchandra Deore on June 22, 2019, late evening, visited Sub-Divisional headquarters after inspecting flood prone areas including bridges and embankments and held a meeting with SDM, Bagaha, Vijay Prakash Meena, BDOs sand COs, and doctors of different PHCs. The DM directed them to remain alert to tackle any situation in the event of heavy rains and flood water of hilly rivers entering villages.
Water has accumulated in several low laying wards under Bagaha Nagar Parishad due to incessant rain during last 24 hours disrupting power supply. One to two feet deep water had accumulated on the campus of power distribution house. The DM asked for details of flood protection plan by June 25, 2019, and said slackness on the part of any official will not be tolerated.
