Bagaha :Incessant rain for the last 20 hours accompanied by strong wind lashed entire Bagaha Sub-Division in West Champaran district.
Although the rain gave relief to the people from the scorching hot weather and crops withering away in the field got new lease of life and farmers were seen gearing up for sowing paddy seedlings, but with over one feet deep water accumulating at power supply station at Bagaha and subsequent fault in transmission line, power personnel stopped power supply and engaged in draining out accommodated water from the power station. A JCB was engaged to dig out channel to drain out the rain water from power station.
Manoj Sao, SDO, Electricity Supply, Bagaha, said,”Power supply will be restored only after complete draining out of rain water from the power distribution station and rectification of fault in transmission line. Traffic between Madanpur and Paniyahawa on NH 727 was paralysed due to rain water flowing on the road, according to sources.
