Ara : Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU), Ara, administration will hold entrance test for admission to the BEd course after thorough verification of BEd colleges under the university. The students are waiting for the entrance test. Earlier, it was said that it will be held in July 2017 but it appears unlikely.
Vice-Chancellor, VKSU Sayyed Mumtajuddin had authorized the Dean, Students Welfare (DSW), VKSU, Arun Kant Jha, two months ago to form a committee to see how a joint entrance test for the BEd course can be organized but the DSW has not formed the committee so far. That apart, extension of recognition of the BEd colleges is still pending and the joint entrance test will be conducted after recognition of such colleges is extended. The VKSU has 18 BEd colleges of which 17 have 100 seats each while one has 50 seats. After the entrance test, admission of the successful students will be taken through counselling. At present, a team of the VKSU is looking into the basic amenities and infrastructure in B.Ed colleges under the university.
DSW Arun Kant Jha said that a committee will soon be formed to prepare report on how to hold the joint entrance examination. He said the date of examination will be announced soon after the committee hands over its recommendations to the VC.
