Ara : The Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU), Ara, administration has been caught on the wrong foot over hiring unlicensed private security agencies: ‘Sixth Sense Security’ and `Management Solution Private Limited’ and paying them for their services.
Former Senator Ajay Kumar Tiwari alias Munmun and JD(U) leader Jitendra Kumar Pandey submitted separate memorandums to the Vice-Chancellor, VKSU, on June 6, 2017, in this regard and demanded action against the guilty officials of the university and Private security agencies. Ajay Kumar Tiwari has also written to the Governor cum Chancellor, Bihar, Principal Secretary, Higher Education, Bihar government, in this regard demanding inquiry into the matter by an impartial agency.
Jitendra Kumar Pandey said the two security agencies were granted license in January 2017 while the university administration had engaged them since 2015 and were also paid. He also blamed that the agencies had given different address during agreement with the university and for getting license.
VC, VKSU, Sayyed Mumtazuddin said that he was unaware of the fact as he was not the VC at the time of agreement with the security agencies. He had received memorandums and after thorough inquiry action would be taken.
Ajay Kumar Tiwari said that Officer on Special Duty to the Governor secretariat Ahamd Mahmood had sought explanation from the VKSU administration on March 30, 2016, but the officials of the university did not respond.
