Ara : Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU) administration cancelled the H D Jain College, Ara, examination centre and also cancelled the first year examination of BEd scheduled for April 6, 2019, after the examinees at the centre boycotted the examination and also went on rampage on April 5, 2019, besides making Principal, Rajendra Ojha, captive at his chamber for about an hour demanding copying at the exam.

Siddheshwar Narayan Singh, Examination Controller, VKSU, Ara, said that at least 1,900 students were to take BEd first year examination for the session 2017-2019 at 15 examination centres from April 5 to April 11, 2019. He said that 950 examinees  of eight B.Ed college were to appear at the examination from H D Jain College Centres, 400 examinees of four colleges from LBT College, Buxar, 300 examinees of three colleges from MDRPDM College, Bhabhua, and 250 examinees of three colleges at Sri Shankar College, Sasaram centres.

He said elaborate arrangements were made at each examination centre to conduct free and peaceful examination. But as the examination started at the H D Jain College Centre, the examinees tried to force the college administration to allow copying at  the examination hall but the college administration remained unmoved that agitated the examinees and they went on rampage and damaged college properties on April 5.

Examination Controller Singh said that the VKSU administration cancelled not only the examination scheduled for April 6, 2019, at all the examination centres but also cancelled the H D Jain College examination centre. He said that the VKSU examination department re-scheduled the examination centres for the next papers and added that now Maharaja College, Ara,  has been made examination centre for Education Department (B.Ed), VKSU, and APSM College of Education, Jagdishpur, while S B College, Ara, has been made the centre for Dharikshan Singh Teachers’ Training College, Kulharia, and T N Agrawal, B.Ed college, Harigao. Al-Hafeez College, Kayamnagar, has been made centre for Mata Manjharo Ajab Dayal Singh B.Ed college, Jagdishpur, and Dr Arvind Teachers’ Training College, Edaura, and M J College, Ara, for Tapeshwar Singh Teachers’ Training College, Kayamnagar, and Bihar College of Education.

The examination controller said that the notification in this regard was issued on April 5, 2019, evening, directing the  examinees to appear at the examination from their new examination centres as shown in the notification and added that the examination scheduled for April 7, 2019, would be held as per the schedule.
