Vigilance bureau arrests UDC accepting bribe of Rs 15,000 at Chhapra

Patna : A state vigilance investigation bureau team led by DSP Ajit Kumar Singh on March 2, 2017, arrested an Upper Division clerk (UDC) at the office of District Malaria Officer (DMO) at Chhapra in Saran district, Sunil Kumar Sharma, while accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000 from one Manish Kumar, a native of village Purdilpur under Derni police station in Saran district. Sharma, who was arrested from his Chhapra office, had asked for Rs 15,000 from Manish Kumar to pave way for withdrawal of his retiral benefits. Manish had lodged a complaint with vigilance bureau in this connection. Manish’s allegation against Sharma were found true during verification after which a trap was laid to arrest the latter.
