Patna: A team of State Vigilance Investigation Bureau led by DSP Mohammad Zameeruddin on August 3, 2018, arrested an ASI of Chowk police station, Patna City, Vinay Kumar Singh, red handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 8000 from one Dayanand singh. During the search operation the Vigilance Bureau team also seized over Rs 1.3 lakh from his residence.
Dayanand Singh had lodged a complaint with Vigilance Bureau that ASI Vinay Kumar Singh had demanded Rs 8,000 fom him to help him in a case. During the verification, the Vigilance Bureau found the allegations prima facie true and laid a trap to nab him.
