Patna : England were all out for 180 runs in 53 ovr3s just before tea three in their second innings on day three in the first test against India at Edgbaston, Birmingham, UK, on August 3, 2018, riding on 63 in 65 ball with 9 fours and 2 sixes by allrounder Sam Curran, 20. England lead by 193 runs.

For India, fast bowler Ishant Sharma took 5/51 in 13 overs while spinner Ravichandran Ashwin took 3/59 in 21 overs.Umesh Yadav took 2/20 in 7 overs. Ishant Sharma took the wickets of wicketkeeper Jonny Bairstow ( 28), allrounder Ben Stokes (6), and hard hitting batsman Jos Buttler (1) in one over turning the match on its head.

England had scored 287 runs in their first innings. India need to score 194 runs to win the first test with two days stiil left. India had made 274 in their first innings.
