Motihari  :  In a joint operation, a special task force (STF) team of Uttar Pradesh police  and Raxaul, East Champaran, police,  arrested  four persons running a racket of counterfeit  Indian currency  near Ramgarhwa police station  on
Raxaul-Motihari NH28A  on Tuesday evening and recovered fake notes of  the face value of Rs 15 lakh from their possession.

Of the four arrested persons, Chandra Prakash Sayhukla and Ajay Upadhay  belong to Mau, and Amarnath  to Ghaziabad of Uttar Pradesh  while Ajay Gupta  is a native of Chakiya in East Champaran district in Bihar. East  Champaran SP Jitendra Rana said  all the arrested persons were being quizzed by police. The STF team of UP
was following the racketeers from UP  when they left for Nepal. They  took the bundles of fake notes from a
person at Birgunj in Nepal and  entered Raxaul. The joint police team members were following them from Raxaul and finally their SUV was intercepted at Ramgarhwa .
