Girl dies, five injured in wall collapse at Motihari rly station

Motihari : Five children were injured and a minor girl Falak Kumari, 10, died on Wednesday when a  newly constructed wall on platform number 1  collapsed  on the  northern fringe  of the Bapudham –Motihari railway station and fell on some huts. The cause of the incident is yet to be ascertained. The injured children were admitted to railway hospital while the body of Falak was sent for post-mortem.

RPF Inspector, Motihari, Pradeep Barnawal, said that  a case has been lodged in this regard and  an inquiry would be conducted by railway officials to know the reason behind wall collapse. It may be mentioned here that railway minister Suresh Prabhu  will visit this station on June 10 to flag off  a new express train from Motihari to Delhi.
