Two women assaulted in land dispute at Danapur

Patna : Wife and daughter of one Rajan Rai of Sultanpur colony under Danapur police station, Patna, were assaulted by some people at Sultanpur Mutt in a land dispute on July 25, 2018. Rajan Rai’s daughter was sent to Sub-Divisional hospital, Danapur, for treatment.

Confirming the incident, SHO, Danapur ps, said that the disputed plot is located at Sultanpur Mutt, where Rajan Rai’s wife and daughter were getting some work done despite prohibitory orders and were attacked by the rival group comprising Chintu Rai and his mother.

The SHO said that Rajan Rai had purchased the plot from Chintu Rai which became point of dispute betwwen the two later. One of Rajan Rai’s sons was killed in August 2017 in which two persons were arrested and chargesheet was filed against them. Another son of Rajan Rai had died  few years back, claimed SHO, Danapur. No one has been arrested so far in connection with July 25 incident.
