Sasaram: Two students were killed when their motorcycle fell into a canal from Tekari bridge under Bikramganj police station in Rohtas district on Sunday evening. The deceased were identified as Bhola Pandey, 20, of Kazipur, and Rohan Raj, 20, of Alamganj localities. 

Bhola Pandey and Rohan Raj had gone to Patna for their admission in the Post Graduate on a bike on Friday from Bikramganj. When they were returning from Patna after getting themselves admitted in the PG class, one of them who was driving the bike lost control over the vehicle at Tekari bridge at Bikramganj under Bikramganj police station and fell into the canal. Both the youths were drowned and died. Another motorcycle borne youth who was behind them informed the police.

Police fished out the body of Rohan Raj but could not find body of Bhola Pandey and so informed the officials of the Irrigation department and requested to close the sluice gate of the canal. After that, police with the help of the locals succeeded in fishing out the body of Bhola Pandey at Indrath bridge, 5 km away from the place of occurrence. Later, police sent the bodies to Sasaram Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
