Ara: Additional District and Session Judge,1, Ara, B B Singh sentenced to 10 years’ rigorous imprisonment (RI) two persons and also slapped a fine of Rs 5,000 on each of them on Monday in connection with murder of a newly married woman for dowry. APP Ram Babu Prasad said that Sangeeta Kumari of village Bhusadih under Dawath police station was married to Deepak Kumar, son of Sriram Singh of Chatrabhuji Baraw village under Piro police station in Bhojpur district in April 2013. She was tortured by her in-laws for more dowry and when their demands were not fulfilled, they killed her on June 28, 2013. Hearing both the parties, the ADJ convicted her husband and father-in-law.
