Two killed in Rohtas road mishap

Sasaram : Two youth were killed in a road accident in Rohtas district on late February 24 evening. Rohtas police brought the bodies to Sasaram Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.

SHO, Bikramganj police station, said that Rajiv Kumar, 20, of village Bbachhadi under Piro police station in Bhojpur district and his cousin Sandeep Kumar, 21, were going to attend a marriage ceremony on their motorcycle to Dehri-on-Sone on February 24 evening. When they reached near Barana village on Bikramganj-Dehri main road, a speeding truck collided head-on their bike killing them on the spot. The driver escaped with the truck.

In another incident, a speeding vehicle dashed a cycle from behind near village Khawa under Medani Chowk police station on February 25 Saturday in which Mahadev Yadav, 14, son of Jai Ram Yadav of Khawa village was injured. Police seized the vehicle and admitted the injured to the hospital.

In yet another incident, a speeding tractor carrying stonechips turned turtle and fell on a Tata Indica on Bikramganj-Sasaram main road on February 25 in which at least half a dozen persons were injured. The injured were admitted to the hospital.
