Ara : Two youth were killed on spot when their motorcycle collided head-on with a City Ride Bus near Shiv Temple at Karisath on NH84 in Bhojpur district on September2, 2017, night. Police seized the City Ride Bus but the driver managed to escape from the scene.
The deceased were identified as Ramakant Tiwari, son of Om Prakash Tiwari of Chhotaki Sasaram, and Manoj Mishra, son of Vamdeo Mishra of Mahuli under Gajrajganj police stationt. Police later brought the bodies to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
SHO, Gajrajganj Police Station, said that a Yajna has been organized by Laxmi Prapann Jiar Swami at village Chandawa and with the co-operation of Bhojpur district administration 1.25 lakh of fruit trees are being distributed among the people at the Yajna site. On September 2 evening, Ramakant Tiwary and Manoj Mishra were returning to their native villages on their motorcycle after taking fruit trees from the Yajna site. When they reached near Shiv Temple at Karishath, a speeding City Ride Bus collided head-on with their motorcycle killing both of them on the spot.
