Patna: Patna Police have detained two persons for interrogation in connection with the brutal murder of Kundan Kumar Malakar alias Pappu, a security guard of an ATM of Central Bank of India located on the rear portion of Patna Regional Passport Office on Maurya Lok premises under Kotwali police station in the wee hour on December 10, 2016. His body, in a pool of blood, was found by his son inside the cabin of ATM.

A special investigating team (SIT) led by DSP (Law & Order) Sibli Nomani and comprising several SHOs was constituted to crack the case. DSP (Law & Order) Sibli Nomani on Sunday confirmed the detention of two persons in this connection. He said that police also recovered a sword and a kharchi near an electric police on main road near Patna Museum.
