Suryapura ( Rohtas): Rohtas police conducted raid at the house of Ashok Singh at village Nonhar under Suryapura police station in Rohtas district and seized a countrymade pistol and three live cartridges on Tuesday. Police also arrested two persons in this connection.
SHO, Suryapura police station, Mahesh Prasad Sah said that Ashok Singh of Nonhar village had contested panchayat election for the post of mukhia and during electioneering he had some scuffle with his co-villagers. To settle this score, he along with some of associates clashed with another group of villagers four days ago in which four persons including two women were injured. In the meantime, he got information that some anti-social elements were gathering at the house of Ashok Singh and so he along with force raided the house of Ashok Singh and seized a countrymade pistol and three live cartridges. Police also arrested Ashok Singh and his nephew Anil Singh.
