Sasaram: A boy was killed and another injured in a road accident on Tuesday evening in near village Tandawa in Rohtas district. The police brought the body to Sasaram Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. An FIR has been lodged with Dariat police station against an unidentified pick-up van 0n have the statement of deceased’s father but the police are yet to seize the van.
Asfaq, 10, son of Ezabul Haque, was killed while his friend injured when their motorcycle collided with a speeding pick-up van coming from opposite direction near Tandawa village on Dehri-Nasariganj main road under Dariat police station in Rohtas district on Tuesday evening. The villagers admitted the injured, who was driving the bike, to the Dehri primary health centre. The villagers blocked the Dehri-Nasariganj main road and demanded compensation to the deceased. Later, the Block Development Officer, Dehri, Ram Pukar Yadav, gave a cheque of Rs. 20,000 under Family benefit scheme to the father of the deceased.
