Two arrested in Buxar for embezzlement of Rs 14 lakh

Buxar: Police on Tuesday arrested two persons from village Gayaghat under  Simari police station in Buxar district in connection with embezzlement of Rs 14 lakh meant for old age pension and forwarded them to jail. SHO Simari Police station Vindhyachal Prasad said that former Mukhia Gayaghat Panchayat Rajanikant and Panchayat Sewak Chandrama Ram allegedly embezzled Rs 14 lakh meant for old age pension and falsely lodged an FIR with   Simari police station regarding theft of the amount. During investigation, it was found that the amount was not stolen but embezzled. The police raided their houses at Gayaghat on Tuesday and arrested them and also recovered a country made pistol and two live cartidrages from the house of the former mukhia.
