Bagaha : Traffic on Bagaha-Valmikinagar road in Bagaha police district remained paralysed for hours on March 11, 2018, as an irate mob of village Lakshmipur under Valmikinagar police station placed body of a boy Rajkumar, 15, who was killed in an accident allegedly caused by a biker on March 10, 2018, evening, on the road to protest the incident.

Police sources said that a biker Sikandar Ram of village Piparakutti under the same police station suddenly dashed two 15 year old boys: Rajkumar and Pankaj Kumar of village Lakshmipur, when they were walking on the road on March 10 evening. The bike rider coming from Bherihari sped away after dashing them from behind. Rajkumar died after few hours in the dead of night while his injured cousin Pankaj Kumar was admitted to Government Sub-divisional Hospital, Bagaha, where his condition is reported to be critical.

Getting information about the road bloackade, SDM Bagaha, Ghanshyam Meena, SDPO, Bagaha, Sanjiv Kumar, CO, Bagaha, Shriram Oroan along with police force reached the spot. The SDM pacified the protesters. On his assurance that adequate compensation would provided to the next of kin of the deceased, the blockade was lifted and body was sent by the police to Government Sub-divisional hospital, Bagaha, for autopsy on March 11. A case was lodged with Valmikinagar police station in this connection but the bike rider is yet to be arrested, sources said.
