Ara : A woman Julekha Khatoon allegedly slit throat of her husband injured him seriously at Piro under Piro police station in Bhojpur district on March 11, 2018. The injured was admitted to Primary Health Centre (PHC), Piro, but the doctor there referred him to Ara Sadar Hospital where his condition is stated to be critical. A named FIR was lodged with Piro police station against Julekha Khatoon but no arrest has so far been made in this regard.
The SHO, Piro Police Station, said that Julekah Khatoon was married to Salauddin of Piro about 25 years ago and ever since their relation had remained strained. Julekha Khatoon always pressurized her husband for share in the property. On March 11, 2018, morning she came to her husband and demanded her share in the property and when he refused, she lost her temper and slit his throat with a sharpedged blade injuring him seriously. Later, she escaped from the spot.
