Trader shot dead at Saharsa in broad daylight

Saharsa : Unidentified criminals shot dead trader Umesh Sah, a resident of Gandhi Path, Saharsa, in broad daylight on November 14, 2018, triggering tension in the town.

The incident took place just 1 km away from Sadar Police station, Saharsa. Angry locals forcibly took the body out from Sadar Hospital and blocked police station roundabout with the body charging police with protecting the assailants. The mob led by BJP leaders Sanjeev Jha and Neeraj Jha also burnt tyres on the road. Police force from five police stations was deployed at Sadar Hospital, Saharsa, to maintain law and order.

The mob also forced the closure of shops in the market. Police have reportedly taken into their custody one of the suspects. Umesh Sah was jailed recently allegedly in connection with liquor business.
