Tractor Showroom staff shot dead, another injured in Bhojpur

Ara : Two motorcycle borne armed criminals shot dead an employee of Raj Automobiles Tractor Agency, a  Mahindra Showroom on Zero mile under Udwantnagar police station, Bipul Mishra, and injured another staff in  broad daylight on September 20, 2018, and escaped.The place of occurrence is 9 km away from Ara Town, headquarters of Bhojpur district.

The injured was admitted to a private clinic where he is struggling for life though his condition is stated to be stable. Later, police brought the body to Sadar Hospital, Ara, for post-mortem. Tension prevails in and around the area following the incident. Almost all the businessmen put their shutters down and escaped from the area though the entire area was cordoned off. The reason behind the incident is yet still to be ascertained. The incident took place a day after police had staged a ‘Flag March’ at Ara in view of Muharram to maintain law and order in the  area.

Bhojpur SP Awakash Kumar said that two motorcycle borne miscreants entered the Raj Automobiles Tractor Agency on Zero mile under Udwantnagar police station when the staff of the agency were cleaning the showroom after opening it on September 20. The miscreants fired one of the employees Bipul Mishra, an accountant, and another staff Saroj Yadav. The injured employeeswere immediately rushed to a private clinic at Babu Bazaar under Ara Town police station. But, Bipul Mishra succumbed to his injuries during treatment while Saroj Yadav is struggling for life. Dr Vikas Singh, who is attending on him, said that his condition is stable but serious.

The SP said that as the news came, police force was requisitioned and the all the entry points have been sealed and police are conducting raids at all the possible places to arrest the miscreants and he is himself is monitoring the investigation. He said that the miscreants have been identified with the CCTV footage and added that name of an inmate of Ara jail, Manish alias Hero, who had escaped from the police custody recently, has figured in the incident and hoped that the miscreants would be arrested at the earliest.

About a month ago, a youth was killed in front of the Raj Automobiles Tractor Agency in a road accident and the mother of the deceased had blamed the owner of the Agency Lalan Ji alias Prem Pankaj saying that he had got her son killed. The deceased was said to be an agent of the agency. Prem Pankaj was not present at the Showroom at the time of incident.

When asked about it, the SP said that it would be too early to say anything in this regard and police were  investigating the incident from different angles.

Earlier, two motorcycle borne miscreants had fired on the son of Dr Jitendra Kumar in Nala road locality under Town police station, Ara, but he had a miraculous escape. An FIR has been lodged with Town police station, Ara,   but no arrest has so far been made in this regard. The police recovered two blank cartridges from the spot.

It is said that after firing on the doctor’s son, the same motorcycle borne miscreants fired on Raj Automobiles Tractor Agency on Zero mile under Udwantnagar police station but police refrained from saying anything on it.
