Tractor Driver killed in road mishap near Ara, villagers protest

Ara : A tractor driver was killed when the tractor overturned into a ditch at an Overbridge under Udwantnagar police station in Bhojpur District around midnight on January 3, 2020. Irate villagers blocked Ara-Mohania NH-30 road near village Behara on February 4 paralysing movement of vehicles.

The protesters burnt tyres on road and raised slogans against the district administration holding police responsible for frequent road accident.They demanded compensation to for the family of the deceased.

In another incident, one person was crushed to death by a speeding truck near Zero Mile under Udwantnagar police station in Bhojpur district on January 3, 2020, late evening. Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Identity of the deceased is still to be ascertained.
