Bagaha : Thunderstorm accompanied by heavy rain on May 13, 2018, night damaged half- a-dozen electric poles between Ramnagar-Bagaha and Chautarawa disrupting power supply to Bagaha town, headquarters of Bagaha Police district, and adjoining rural areas. Premraj, Executive Engineer, Power Distribution Division, Bagaha, said that work is on to restore power supply.

An Indra Awas unit of Jaini Mushahar of Mushahar toli in Rajawatia panchayat under Bagaha-1 block suddenly collapsed causing minor injuries to some of the family member. Traffic on Bagaha-Valmikinagar road remained disrupted for few hours as some forest trees had fallen on the road during the thunderstorm. Sources said that roofs of dozens shops and houses made of asbestos were blown away at Rampur forest Check- post and Sidhav Chowk under Bagaha-2 block. The prospect of sugarcane and vegetable crops have become good due to heavy rains but mango and litchi fruits were damaged due to the storm.
